Miles&Smiles is the frequent flyer program of Turkish Airlines and a Star Alliance member serving one of the world's largest route networks by country count. Members earn two kinds of miles. Redeemable Miles are the spendable currency, used for award flights and upgrades on Turkish Airlines and Star Alliance partners. Low-cost subsidiary AJet sits in between: members earn Miles and Status Miles on AJet flights, but cannot redeem Miles for an AJet award ticket. Status Miles, earned in parallel, determine the tier ladder of Classic, Classic Plus, Elite, and Elite Plus.
