Program facts
Overview
Pro Xtra launched in 2012 as The Home Depot's loyalty program for professional buyers. In January 2023 Home Depot said Pros make up about 10% of its customer base and about half of its sales, and it introduced three tiers named Member, Elite and VIP. A member's spending counts toward rewards and toward the next tier. Home Depot's October 2025 release lists project planning tools, paint rewards, customized pricing, rental and spend-control tools and the HD Pass digital wallet as the main benefits.
Higher tiers add more. Home Depot's January 2023 release names four perks that come with new tiers: an Elite Support Line, VIP experiences, account management and preferred pricing. In October 2025 it said members get custom pricing on items they buy often. It also said Elite and VIP status adds more savings.
Perks are the reward. Since October 2020, a member who earns a Perk can take Pro Xtra Dollars or a Tool Rental Perk, and members can also receive surprise Bonus Perks. Members earn and redeem Perks in the Home Depot app.
Paint has its own savings. In October 2025 Home Depot said Pro Xtra members save up to 20% on paints, stains, primers and solvents. The Pro Xtra Rewards Hub gathers partner offers, discounts, paint rewards, business tools and tier benefits in one place.
Credit feeds the Perks count. The Pro Xtra Credit Card, a version of the Commercial Revolving Charge run through Citi Retail Services, was introduced on January 11, 2022 and earns Perks four times faster on card purchases. The Commercial Account Card, updated the same day, gives a 2% discount for paying online within 20 days or a 60-day window to pay. Both cards let a firm issue cards to employees and stretch returns to up to a full year. The Home Depot 10-K also names a Pro Trade Credit program. On July 6, 2026, Pro Xtra added partner offers open to every member, whatever the spend or tier. 7-Eleven leads the first set with $0.25 off a gallon for up to five fills. Jimmy John's takes $20 off orders of $100 or more, Tecovas 20% off work boots, and Rosie's AI Answering Service offers a seven-day free trial. The offers refresh quarterly.
