At a glance
Popeyes Rewards is the free loyalty program of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, a Restaurant Brands International brand, for US guests with a Popeyes account. Members earn 10 points per $1 on app and website orders, QR scans in the restaurant, linked cards and signed-in Uber Eats orders. Rewards cost 300, 600, 900 or 1,200 points, from a side or drink up to a meal for two. The whole balance expires 180 days after the last eligible purchase. The terms set one earn rate and describe no status ladder.
Program facts
Overview
Popeyes Rewards began in 2021, the same year Burger King got Royal Perks, a Popeyes franchisee's 2023 annual report shows. Both chains belong to Restaurant Brands International, or RBI, a Canadian company that runs Popeyes from Miami. The sponsor named in the terms is Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Inc. Joining is free and happens on its own when a guest opens an account in the Popeyes app or on Popeyes.com. Only residents of the lower 48 states and Washington, DC, can join, which leaves out Alaska and Hawaii. Plastic Popeyes Rewards cards were discontinued on March 25, 2023.
Members earn 10 points per $1 spent before taxes, fees and discounts. Points come from app and website orders and from scanning the app's QR code at the counter. A card linked to the account earns too, and so do Uber Eats orders placed while signed in. A guest who forgets to scan can claim the receipt within 48 hours, one receipt a day. Only three transactions a day earn points. Gift card purchases and ezCater catering orders earn nothing. With a coupon, points follow the amount actually paid. Totals round down to the nearest 10 cents, so a $2.76 order earns 27 points.
Rewards sit in four price bands. At 300 points a member picks a regular side, a drink, two biscuits, a pie or a cheesecake cup. At 600 come single items such as the Chicken Sandwich, 3Pc Tenders, Chicken Wraps and the Honey Chicken Biscuit. At 900 most of those become combos, joined by 8Pc Butterfly Shrimp. At 1,200 the reward is a 2 Can Dine meal built on 5 pieces of Signature Chicken or 6 tenders. Modifiers, such as an extra breast in a mixed chicken order, cost extra. In the restaurant, a reward works once it is added to the account and the QR code is scanned. Several rewards can go on one order.
New members get a welcome reward of a regular side, a small drink or an apple pie with a $5 purchase. The terms also list a birthday reward. Point accelerators lift the rate above 10 points per $1 during set events. Challenges pay bonuses, such as 250 points for two purchases in a month. The terms list Happy Hour pricing on designated days and times. An FAQ answer says a Tuesday and Thursday Happy Hour with $2 regular sides, and bonus points on combos and family meals, will launch over the next year. Bonuses of different kinds stack, while two 2x multipliers still pay 2x.
The balance runs on a 180-day clock. Any eligible purchase resets it, and if none comes within 180 days every point expires at once. Popeyes can send a warning 30 days ahead, though the terms do not promise one. Accounts idle for two years can be closed, and leaving the program means deleting the account. The current terms were revised on January 26, 2026 and reached existing members on February 26, 2026. They also let Popeyes test tiers, minimum spends and cooldown periods in selected markets or with selected members. The terms mention neither a paid membership nor a co-branded card.
Every step of 300 points equals $30 of spending at the base rate. Each step moves a member one level up the menu, from a side to a sandwich, then a combo, then a meal for two. The 180-day rule measures recency. A member who orders at least once every 180 days keeps every point, while one who lapses loses the lot. Uber Eats orders earn when the member is signed in, yet ezCater catering orders earn nothing, so Popeyes credits one outside channel and leaves out the other.
