At a glance
mPerks is the free digital coupons and rewards program of Meijer, the Midwest supercenter and grocery chain, and the name is unchanged in 2026. Members earn 10 points per $1 in stores and online and 500 points per eligible prescription. Points expire at the end of the third month after they are earned. Members claim dollars off, free items, free home delivery or fuel discounts that run from 10 cents a gallon for 1,000 points to $1 for 10,000. Buying fuel earns no points.
Program facts
Overview
mPerks is still the name of Meijer's loyalty program in October 2026. Meijer's terms of use call it the company's digital coupons and rewards program, and every meijer.com account includes it. In June 2025 Meijer said mPerks had run for 15 years. It also said a 2023 overhaul let members earn points on every dollar and pick their own savings. Signing up takes a phone number, an email address and a 4-digit PIN. At checkout a member enters the phone number and PIN, scans the app barcode or pays with a card linked through Quick ID. Meijer reported that Michigan shoppers saved nearly $200 million through mPerks in the year to June 2025.
The base rate is 10 points per dollar, in stores and on meijer.com orders alike. Each eligible prescription filled at a Meijer Pharmacy adds 500 points. Prescriptions paid in whole or in part by Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE or other government plans do not qualify. Alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, lottery, postage and orders placed through outside delivery apps earn nothing. Category offers in the app add more, and Meijer's own example is 3,000 points for every $25 spent on fresh and packaged meat. Multiplier events follow a written formula. A 2x event adds 10 points per dollar, and a 4x event adds 30.
Points become useful only when a member claims a reward in the app or on the website. The menu covers dollars off an order, free items, free Meijer home delivery and fuel discounts. Meijer's help center gives 5,000 points for $5 off as an example and says the rewards on offer vary. A claimed reward cannot be turned back into points, and most stay valid for 45 days. An auto-claim setting grabs a chosen reward as soon as the balance covers it. Points expire at the end of the month three months after they are earned, and the oldest points are spent first.
Fuel sits on the spending side only. Meijer's standing rule pays no points on gas, though promotions sometimes do. One paid 30 points per gallon at Meijer Express through August 16, 2025. Fuel rewards step up from 10 cents off per gallon for 1,000 points to 20 cents for 2,000, 50 cents for 5,000 and $1 for 10,000. Each one covers up to 30 gallons at a Meijer Express station. Stations in Wisconsin do not take fuel rewards.
Digital coupons run beside the points. Members clip them in the app, up to 160 at one time, and the savings apply once the mPerks ID is entered. Some items carry an mPerks discount that needs no clipping at all. Citibank issues the Meijer Credit Card and the Meijer Mastercard, and neither charges an annual fee. Both take 10 cents off per gallon at Meijer gas stations and pay a $10 reward for every $750 spent. Those card rewards can load into mPerks within 48 hours. A cardholder who also uses a $1 fuel reward gets $1.10 off per gallon on up to 30 gallons.
The two ways to spend points carry very different prices. At Meijer's sample rate of 5,000 points for $5, a balance of 10,000 points buys $10 off a cart. The same 10,000 points take $1 off each of 30 gallons, worth $30 on a 30-gallon fill, so at that sample rate the pump pays three times as much per point. Fuel earns no points. Wisconsin shoppers, who cannot redeem at the pump, are left with the cart rate.
