Overview

MSC Voyagers Club is the loyalty program of MSC Cruises, run by MSC Cruises SA from Geneva, Switzerland. Its rules date the club from July 19, 2015, with the latest update on November 7, 2024. Joining is free, and since that update anyone can sign up without a booking. Points come per cruise, in length bands. The amount depends on the band and on the fare type, which MSC calls an Experience. A Bella fare earns 200 points for a cruise under 5 nights, 500 for 5 to 9 nights and 700 for longer trips. Fantastica pays 400, 700 and 1,000. Aurea pays 600, 1,000 and 1,500, and the MSC Yacht Club 800, 1,500 and 2,000. Every member in the cabin earns the full amount. A free Experience upgrade earns at the level paid for.

Spending before the cruise also counts. Members earn 100 points for each $150 or 150 euros of onboard extras bought in advance. A drinks package in the fare adds 200 points and any other package 100, though Yacht Club fares miss this bonus. A cruise booked within 3 months of a member's birthday earns 200 more, and confirming contact details before sailing earns 100. Booking a full MSC World Cruise triples the points and extends status by five years. Points have no cash value and only count toward tiers.

Welcome starts at 0 points, Classic at 1, Silver at 2,200, Gold at 4,300, Diamond at 10,000 and Blue Diamond at 25,000. From Classic up, members get 5% off the cabin fare all year, for everyone in the cabin. Silver adds 10% off laundry and a birthday cake. Gold adds a one-hour thermal area session, a robe and slippers, early theater entry and 20% off spa services. Diamond adds priority check-in and bag drop, a members' party, a tasting menu dinner and late checkout. Blue Diamond adds a flexible arrival time, check-in at the MSC Yacht Club desk, free browsing Wi-Fi and My Choice dining. Membership lapses after five years without a cruise, and all points go with it.

Two booking deals sit on top of the 5%. Voyagers Exclusives, announced on May 2, 2022, adds another 5% for bookings made 9 to 12 months out. Bookings made more than 12 months out get the extra 5% and double points. From Silver up, they also get $50 of onboard credit per member. Voyagers Selection takes 5% to 15% off chosen sailings. Even Welcome members qualify. Through Status Match, members of other cruise, hotel and tour programs can ask for a like tier. The list of eligible programs includes Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, Disney Cruise Line, Marriott and Hilton. The program pages show no paid tier or co-brand credit card.

The November 7, 2024 refresh added Blue Diamond above Diamond and stretched membership life from three years to five. MSC said Status Match cannot reach Blue Diamond, which takes real sailing. In September 2019 the old Black tier was renamed Diamond. The point table rewards fare type more than time at sea. A 4-night Aurea cruise earns 600 points, more than a 7-night Bella cruise at 500. Within each band, extra nights add nothing, so a 5-night cruise earns as much as a 9-night one. Blue Diamond takes 50 week-long Bella cruises but only 13 long Yacht Club voyages, or about 7 with double points. Double points for booking a year out and points for prepaid extras both reward money paid before the ship sails.
