United Airlines and Lufthansa Group airlines including Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian, Brussels and Discover have launched extended reciprocal benefits for Global Services and HON Circle members. United Global Services members flying Lufthansa Group carriers receive higher rebooking priority during disruptions, priority standby, first-class check-in counters even in economy or business class, group 1 boarding, and complimentary seat selection in economy for themselves and one companion. From 22 July 2026, HON Circle members gain additional benefits on United flights. The primary access points remain first-class check-in for United passengers and Global Reception for Lufthansa Group passengers. Global Services status is earned only on United flights while HON Circle status is earned only on Lufthansa Group flights. Airlines in alliances continue to expand cross-carrier perks for their highest-value customers to encourage continued flying on partner networks.
