Sainsbury’s Nectar program partnered with Uber on April 9, 2026, letting members convert points into credit for Uber rides and Uber Eats orders. Through the Nectar app, customers choose how many points to exchange, from 500 to 4,000 at a time, worth between £2.50 and £20. The points convert into an Uber voucher that is added automatically to the member’s Uber app. Sainsbury’s said it is the first time Nectar has partnered with a ride-hailing platform, adding a redemption category alongside the program’s network of more than 500 brand partners. “We’re giving people more ways to enjoy the value they get from Nectar,” said Mark Given, Sainsbury’s chief technology, marketing and data officer. Grocery loyalty programs are broadening redemption beyond the shopping basket into transport and delivery to make points useful between store visits.
