Lufthansa Group has launched a promotion allowing select cobranded cardholders to obtain Frequent Traveller status, which confers Star Alliance Silver recognition, until February 28 2027. The status is available for a fee of €650 or 80,000 miles and is open to holders of specific cards issued in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. Qualifying cards include various Miles & More Gold, Premium and Platinum products from Deutsche Bank, Erste Bank, Swisscard, Advanzia, UniCredit, Cornèr Bank and Beobank. Benefits include business lounge access on Lufthansa Group carriers, business class check-in on partner flights, an additional checked bag, up to 50 percent extra miles on select partners and non-expiring miles while status is held. Status appears in the Miles & More account within seven days. Most benefits apply primarily when flying Lufthansa Group metal because Star Alliance Silver offers limited alliance-wide perks. The status is valid until 28 February 2027.
