Kenya Airways teamed up with StatusMatch one year ago to offer tier matches from many airline, hotel and credit card programs. The carrier now runs a limited-time Asante Platinum match open to ALL Accor Gold, Platinum and Diamond members. Approved applicants receive SkyTeam Elite or Elite Plus status that includes extra luggage allowance, priority check-in and baggage drop-off, all SkyPriority services and lounge access on most itineraries. Fees differ by region. Members in Canada, the USA, the Americas plus Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam pay $99 for Silver or $299 for Gold and Platinum. Members elsewhere pay $80 for Silver or $175 for Gold and Platinum. The Asante Platinum tier is available only to the specified Accor members. Matched status lasts 12 months. Kenya Airways used Air France-KLM Flying Blue as its frequent flier program for a long time but launched Asante in 2023. Status matches of this type give members access to benefits on SkyTeam partner airlines.
