JetBlue has partnered with ClarityPay to launch a pay-later program that ties an airline loyalty rewards to installment financing. The companies describe it as the first such offering. Customers see installment options during booking, select a ClarityPay plan, and earn TrueBlue points on eligible purchases when a loyalty number is attached. The process stays inside JetBlue’s experience while ClarityPay handles credit decisions. Standard points on financed bookings are available now. Bonus points for ClarityPay bookings are planned for later this year. Rates reach up to 36 percent APR and the model extends to subprime borrowers. ClarityPay was founded in 2024 and is led by former American Express and Continental Airlines executive Houman Motaharian. It is backed by a Neuberger Berman agreement to purchase up to one billion dollars of originated loans. Airlines continue to fold financial products into their loyalty ecosystems to retain customer spending and data.
