Flying Blue will introduce three award fare bundles for travel on Air France and KLM starting with new bookings on September 8, 2026. The bundles are Light, Standard and Flex. The change applies only to awards on those two airlines. Pricing on partner airlines stays the same. Existing tickets remain under prior rules. La Premiere awards are also unaffected. The lowest award price in a market becomes the Light fare. Standard and Flex require additional miles for more flexibility and fewer carrier surcharges on long haul flights. Light fares exclude checked bags and changes for most members. Elite benefits such as baggage allowances and seat assignments continue to apply. Flying Blue Platinum and Ultimate members receive waived change fees on these awards. The program keeps its saver and dynamic award levels, with the new bundles layered on top of either. These adjustments follow the carriers rollout of similar bundles on paid tickets.
