Oman Air joined the oneworld alliance in June 2025. American AAdvantage did not offer redemptions on Oman Air for over a year after joining. As of July 30, 2026 American AAdvantage rolled out award redemptions on Oman Air. These awards are bookable directly on aa.com. Oman Air is based in Muscat and flies to destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa and elsewhere. American award redemption rates on the carrier are excellent and Oman Air releases a good amount of award availability. Examples include 40,000 AAdvantage miles from Muscat to Southeast Asia and 42,500 miles from Muscat to Europe. Oman Air operates a fleet of Boeing 787s with Apex Suites in business class and Boeing 737s with recliner seats. The airline has downsized over the years and increasingly uses 737s on longer routes. Oman Air does not fly to the United States. With Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways increasingly restricting award availability to partner programs, this development adds more AAdvantage redemption options with good availability.
