Payments company Adyen agreed to acquire the loyalty and promotions platform Talon. One for €750 million on April 23, 2026. Adyen financed the acquisition from available cash resources, and Talon. One’s co-founders, Christoph Gerber and Sebastian Haas, reinvested a portion of their proceeds into newly issued Adyen shares. Talon. One, headquartered in Berlin, provides an API-first platform for enterprise loyalty and personalized promotions and serves more than 300 merchants. Adyen said combining its payments infrastructure and transaction data with Talon. One’s real-time decisioning would let merchants act on connected online and in-store customer data at checkout. The transaction closed on July 1, 2026, alongside Adyen’s acquisition of billing platform Orb, after regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions were satisfied. Adyen expects Talon. One to generate about €60 million in recurring revenue by the end of 2026. Payments providers are moving into loyalty as they seek to own more of the merchant relationship.
