Loyalty Juggernaut publishes this guide and makes GRAVTY, one of the eight platforms listed. Read the GRAVTY entry as a vendor describing its own product. Each other entry draws only on that vendor's own current pages. The list runs in alphabetical order. It ranks nobody.

What is airline loyalty software?

Airline loyalty software, also called frequent flyer program software, runs the program behind every miles balance. It credits miles when a flown segment arrives from the passenger service system, or PSS. It takes files and claims from partner airlines, prices award seats and bills partners. It also tells finance what the miles it owes are worth.

Partners pay for much of what a program issues. Delta says remuneration from American Express totaled $8.2 billion in 2025. In Air Canada's 2025 annual report, points sold to Aeroplan partners added C$1,980 million to deferred revenue. Points earned on flights added C$359 million. So partner earning and billing sit at the center of the system.

This guide is about the software. For the accounting and the money behind miles, read our airline loyalty economics guide. For programs worth studying, see the best airline loyalty programs.

Which airline loyalty platforms belong on a shortlist?

Two kinds of platform make up the list. Some come with a reservation system and run best beside it. Others connect to any PSS and to partners outside air travel.

What does each airline loyalty platform offer?

Accelya Loyalty

Accelya Loyalty is API-first and links to the PSS in real time or by batch. Accelya says most airlines can expect a 4 to 6 month implementation.

Amadeus Loyalty Management

Amadeus says its tool handles earning, retro claims, rewards and billing with partners. Sun Group picked Amadeus in 2026 to run its Sun Signature program.

Comarch Loyalty Management for Travel

Comarch's travel edition takes earn and claim files from partner airlines and sends bills back. Vietnam Airlines has used it since May 2021.

GRAVTY

Who it fits. GRAVTY is Loyalty Juggernaut's platform for airlines that want the program to earn beyond the flight. It runs WestJet Rewards and Emirates Skywards Everyday. There, members earn and redeem Skywards Miles on everyday spending across 500+ partners and 2,000+ outlets. Riyadh Air built its program, Sfeer, on GRAVTY before it flew. Riyadh Air’s Sfeer passed one million members less than a year after launch. Norwegian, Viva Aerobus, Vietjet and Air Astana run programs on it too.

Where it runs. GRAVTY is cloud native and runs serverless on AWS. It holds 500M+ members in production, under a 99.99% uptime SLA. Average API latency is under 50 ms. Its connectors reach the Amadeus Altéa, Sabre and Navitaire reservation systems, and Air Astana's Nomad Club runs on GRAVTY linked to Amadeus. It has 150+ systems integrated, listed on the integrations page.

What it does. GRAVTY runs miles, tiers and status, plus family accounts, corporate accounts and paid memberships for each member. It applies rules for the airline that sold the ticket and the one that flew it. It covers codeshares, interline, alliances and missed-flight claims, with earning set by fare class. Partners join inside GRAVTY and get their own login. There they set offers and earn rules, and read their own reports. Members redeem from an award catalog and partner inventory, or pay with miles plus cash. Finance sees the liability and breakage, with balance sheet and P&L views built to IFRS.

How it moves and learns. GRAVTY Ascend holds member balances in both systems and switches the old one off once the numbers reconcile. WestJet moved WestJet Rewards to GRAVTY while members kept earning. Its year-end rollover now takes 28 hours, down from 10 days. Loyalty managers change rules in Visual Rules, a patented no-code engine. AI-Trust flags odd earn and burn as it happens. Agentic AI Compass is a set of AI agents that study program results and suggest next steps, with every recommendation open to audit. See airline loyalty on GRAVTY.

Hitit Crane Loyalty Layer

Hitit says Crane Loyalty Layer runs several loyalty programs at once, by brand, region or business model. It works inside the Crane suite or on its own.

IBS Software iLoyal

iLoyal covers partner billing, month-end accounting and liability reporting. Thai Airways and Pan Am chose it in the past year.

LPS FLITE

LPS, part of the PAYBACK group within American Express, runs FLITE on AWS. United moved over 100 million members onto it.

Navitaire Loyalty

Navitaire is an Amadeus company. It builds its loyalty tool into the New Skies PSS, so miles post and redeem in real time.

Two add-ons can sit beside any of these engines. Points, a Plusgrade company, lets members buy, gift and transfer miles. SessionM says it complements the providers that process points and tiers.

What should airline loyalty software prove before you buy?

Start with the tests that decide whether a program can grow past the flight and survive a change of platform. The airline-specific rules come next, and the demo table covers both.

Partner earning, billing and settlement at scale

Delta says the partners that buy its miles include credit card, retail, ridesharing, car rental and hotel companies, plus other airlines. Partners typically pay monthly, based on the volume of miles sold. Its initial contract terms run from one to thirteen years. So the platform has to hold each partner's rate, bill each month and settle without spreadsheets. Deutsche Telekom runs one program on GRAVTY with 4,500 partners in 9 countries. Emirates Skywards Everyday records an 80% reduction in partner onboarding time on GRAVTY. Our partner settlement guide covers the math.

Uptime and speed at every touchpoint

Booking, check-in, the app and every partner call the loyalty platform. Put the uptime figure in the contract and ask for average response time. GRAVTY carries a 99.99% uptime SLA, with average API latency under 50 ms across 500M+ members.

Rules the loyalty team can change

A route launch, a status match or a partner bonus should go live on the business's timeline. Ask a loyalty manager, with no developer, to build a promotion during the demo. On GRAVTY that work happens in Visual Rules.

A move that keeps members earning

An airline that already runs a program needs its members' miles, tiers and history to carry over. Ask how the vendor runs the old and new systems in parallel, and what it reconciles before cutover. WestJet's move to GRAVTY kept members earning throughout. Our loyalty platform migration guide covers the steps.

How does airline loyalty software handle partner airlines and alliances?

Each airline runs its own program, even inside an alliance. Star Alliance offers one status that counts across its network. Yet each member airline runs its own program. oneworld says it has no frequent flyer program of its own. So each airline's software maps its tiers to the alliance tier and posts flights on partner airlines. Our alliance earning entry covers the basics.

Marketing carrier, operating carrier and fare class

Qantas' program terms show the rules software has to encode. They define the marketing carrier, the operating carrier and a codeshare flight. Some codeshares earn no points unless Qantas names them as eligible. Earning also depends on the booking class listed in the earning tables. So the platform reads both carrier codes and the fare class on every segment.

Revenue-based programs need the fare broken down. Aeroplan members earn on the base fare and carrier surcharges, with taxes and third-party charges left out. Delta says members earn miles primarily based on status, fare class and ticket price.

Retro claims

Members claim flights that did not post. Qantas gives members twelve months to report a missing flight and six months for other transactions. It can ask for ticket coupons or boarding passes as proof. The software needs claim windows, proof checks and reply files to partner airlines.

Award seats, cards and families

American's AAdvantage terms say partner flight awards can carry special limits on seating availability. So the platform needs a live link to partner award space. At American, miles do not expire for the primary holder of a co-branded card. So the card file feeds the expiry rules. Aeroplan lets up to 8 family members share points. The ledger then has to handle shared balances and who can spend them.

Liability

Every mile is a promise that finance has to book. Delta defers the value of miles earned on a ticket until they are redeemed. Air Canada reports under IFRS. It treats points sold to partners as one duty: a future reward. The points liability guide covers the entries.

How should you evaluate airline loyalty software in a demo?

How do you choose an airline loyalty platform?

A new airline. The program should be live when the first ticket sells. Riyadh Air had enrollment, earning, tiers and partner accrual running on GRAVTY from launch. Sfeer passed one million members less than a year after launch. Pan Am chose iLoyal for its WorldPass program.

An airline replacing a legacy system. Weigh the migration record above the feature list. Ask for a reference airline of your size that moved without a pause in earning. WestJet is that reference for GRAVTY.

An airline building everyday earning. The platform has to sign up and settle many partners outside air travel. Emirates Skywards Everyday runs on GRAVTY. So does Norwegian Reward. It shares one currency with a hotel group and a store network.

An airline tied to one PSS. Navitaire, Hitit and Amadeus offer loyalty built for their own reservation systems. GRAVTY connects to Amadeus Altéa, Sabre and Navitaire, so the program can stay put if the PSS changes.

Frequently asked questions

Which airline loyalty software suits a large or fast-growing airline?

Pick a platform proven on partner scale, uptime and migration. GRAVTY runs WestJet Rewards, Emirates Skywards Everyday and Riyadh Air's program. Riyadh Air’s Sfeer passed one million members less than a year after launch. It holds 500M+ members under a 99.99% uptime SLA. Ask every vendor on the shortlist for the same proof.

Should an airline use its PSS loyalty module or a separate platform?

Use a separate platform when partners and everyday earning matter, and a PSS module when loyalty stays close to flights. Navitaire builds its loyalty product into New Skies. A separate platform connects to any PSS and to banks, hotels and retailers. GRAVTY connects to Amadeus Altéa, Sabre and Navitaire.

How long does it take to implement airline loyalty software?

Plan on months for a new build and longer for a migration. Accelya says most airlines can expect 4 to 6 months. Riyadh Air had loyalty live on day one by building it on GRAVTY before it flew. A move off a live system adds time to test and reconcile every balance.

What is a retro claim in a frequent flyer program?

A retro claim is a member's request for miles on a flight that did not post. Qantas gives members twelve months to report a missing flight. It can ask for ticket coupons or boarding passes as proof. When the flight was on a partner, the two airlines swap claim and reply files.

How do airlines account for frequent flyer miles?

Airlines hold back part of each ticket or partner sale until the miles are used. Delta values the miles earned on a ticket as a separate duty to the member. Air Canada reports under IFRS and splits each sale the same way. The platform feeds those figures to finance each month.

Why does Loyalty Juggernaut list its own platform?

GRAVTY is on the list because it competes in this category, and leaving it out would hide that. Its entry uses Loyalty Juggernaut's own figures. Each other entry uses only that vendor's own pages.
